3. Not Financial Advice

The Service is NOT a licensed financial advisor, fiduciary, or tax professional. All projections, estimates, and AI-generated responses are hypothetical and based on mathematical assumptions. They do NOT constitute personalized financial advice, investment recommendations, or guarantees of future performance. You are solely responsible for your own financial decisions. Consult a qualified professional before making investment decisions.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

TheFIREPlan is currently free for all users. If paid features are introduced in the future, existing users will be grandfathered on their current plan. Any future payments would be processed through a third-party payment processor whose terms you would need to accept separately.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including but not limited to: attempting to access data not belonging to you, interfering with the Service's operation, using the Service for any illegal purpose, or exceeding rate limits in an attempt to degrade service for others.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to the design, code, text, graphics, and logos — are owned by TheFIREPlan and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TheFIREPlan shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to financial losses, investment losses, or data loss.

The Service integrates with third-party services including Supabase (database and authentication), Google Gemini (AI assistant), and Yahoo Finance (market data). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of these third-party services.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will notify registered users via email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Non-material changes will be effective upon posting. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Ontario.
